Healthcare Chef – Dublin 6
We are seeking a Healthcare Chef to join a healthcare facility in Dublin 6, delivering freshly prepared meals that support patient care and wellbeing. This is a rewarding position ideal for chefs with experience in hospital kitchens, HSE facilities, or high-volume catering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with dietary and nutritional guidelines
* Lead or support daily kitchen operations to maintain efficiency, quality, and consistency
* Follow all HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and cook-chill protocols
* Oversee stock rotation, food storage, and waste minimisation
* Monitor portion control, food presentation, and allergen management
* Collaborate with dietitians and clinical teams on menu planning and patient requirements
* Maintain a clean, compliant, and organised kitchen environment
Requirements:
* QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualification
* Experience in a healthcare or high-volume catering environment
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cook-chill processes
* Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance
* Ability to provide 5 years of work references
* Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
* Flexible to work weekday and weekend shifts as required
Salary & Benefits:
* €20.29/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays
* Day shifts only, Monday to Sunday roster
