We are recruiting a senior EHS Manager for a leading Irish waste management company operating in Leinster and North Munster. This is a key leadership position reporting to senior management, focused on driving a best-in-class safety culture. The EHS Manager will take full ownership of the environmental, health, and safety agenda across all operations, including collections, transport, and recycling facilities. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS management systems, maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Ensure 100% compliance with all EPA licences, Waste Management Acts, HSA regulations, and related legislation. Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies (EPA, HSA, Local Authorities), managing all environmental monitoring, reporting, inspections, and permit renewals. Lead and conduct comprehensive risk assessments, site audits, and incident investigations, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs). Design and deliver engaging EHS training, toolbox talks, and staff coaching to embed a strong safety-first mindset. Manage all statutory documentation and reporting requirements accurately and on time. Requirements A third-level degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar EHS management role. Comprehensive, expert-level knowledge of Irish EHS legislation (EPA, HSA, Waste Management Acts, ADR, etc.). Proven, hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A full, clean Irish drivers licence and the flexibility for national travel. Must be fully eligible to work in Ireland without restriction.
