About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Business Intelligence Analyst
to join our team in Ireland. In this role, you will transform data into meaningful insights, develop BI solutions, and support decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical partners to deliver reporting, dashboards, and actionable analytics.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as
Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
.
* Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
* Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
* Develop and maintain data models, datasets, and ETL processes.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI platforms.
* Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
* Present insights in a clear and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate with data engineering teams on data pipelines and data warehouse improvements.
* Document BI processes, reports, and technical specifications.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
* Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
* Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
* Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
* Good communication skills with the ability to explain insights clearly.
* Familiarity with data modelling, ETL concepts, and reporting best practices.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
* Knowledge of DAX, Python, R, or other analytics languages.
* Understanding of data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
* Experience with Agile methodologies.
* Knowledge of GDPR and data governance practices in Ireland/EU.
