Cost Manager – M&E Assistant Cost ManagerWe are inviting applications for a Cost Manager to join our Cork Office growing team. Seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organisational/managerial skills and a pro‑active attitude.LocationCork, hybrid working model.Contract & GradePermanent, Officer Grade.Key QualificationsDegree qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Building Services Engineering, or related field.Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors, including Mission Critical, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Residential.Familiarity with RIAI and GCCC standard forms of contract.Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on procurement, cost, value, and risk, especially relating to M&E elements.Highly motivated and ambitious with strong organisational and managerial skills.Pro‑active attitude and ability to work in a team environment.Good reporting and communication skills.Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Senior Cost Manager in managing day‑to‑day operations of M&E aspects on projects.Assist with feasibility studies and preparing procurement reports focusing on M&E systems.Estimate and cost plan M&E works, including producing and presenting final M&E cost plan.Produce full quantities measurement for M&E components.Tender and procure M&E works, including managing pre‑qualification stage.Manage post‑contract M&E cost variances and change control processes.Take responsibility for M&E cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.Produce monthly post‑contract M&E cost reports and present to the client.Contribute to value engineering exercises for M&E systems.Negotiate and agree final accounts for M&E packages.Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages, with particular emphasis on M&E elements.BenefitsDiscounted Health Insurance.Additional Annual Leave.Enhanced Family Leave.Emergency Childcare Cover.Social Events.Early Finish Fridays.Relocation Assistance.Learning & Development.Commitment to Inclusion & DiversityKPMG is an equal opportunities employer, welcoming applications from people of all backgrounds.
