Housing First Project Worker (Co. Kerry) - Permanent ContractCork Simon Community works in solidarity with men and women who are homeless in Cork, offering housing and support in their journey back to independent living. We promote a socially just society and campaign for a society without homelessness.Cork Simon works to a set of six core values: Community, Diversity, Social Justice, Voluntarism, Commitment to Care and Inclusion.Cork Simon Community is currently seeking applications for the role of Housing First Project Worker (Co. Kerry)Purpose of the posts: Support people who are sleeping rough and/or experiencing long-term and multiple exclusion homelessness to move into secure, permanent housing at the earliest opportunity, without preconditions for sobriety or treatment compliance. Support people prior to, during, and following their move through Key Working and Case Management to build their capacity to meet their goals, address their support needs, and sustain their housing.Some of the key duties of the roles include:Identify and engage with individuals experiencing homelessness in County KerryAssess housing options and facilitate access to suitable accommodationDevelop and implement support plans tailored to individual needsProvide intensive case management and ongoing support to tenantsAdvocate for tenants' rights and address any issues that may threaten housing stabilityAssist with induction to accommodation and familiarize tenants with their rights and responsibilitiesManage finances, including addressing rent arrears and ensuring access to benefitsMaintain accurate records and generate required statistics for reporting purposesCollaborate with team members and external agencies to achieve project objectivesAdhere to health and safety regulations and participate in relevant trainingReport to and seek guidance from the Team Leader of the South West Region Housing FirstThe ideal candidate for this post will have:Two years' experience in a similar roleExperience of case management and key workingExperience working with people with addictions including those with mental health issues / dual diagnosisThird level degree in a relevant fieldNon-judgemental understanding of addictionBelief in the potential of recovery for people of diverse backgrounds, challenges and personal circumstancesReliable, Punctual, Assured Manner, ConfidentHigh Tolerance LevelThe Recruitment Pack, along with the Job Application Form can be found on our website or can be requested from Alen by e-mail from or by telephone The closing date for receipt of completed Application Forms is 5pm on Thursday, 4 December 2025.Cork Simon Community is committed to equality of opportunity.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €36,932.00-€52,008.00 per yearBenefits:Additional leaveCompany eventsCompany pensionSick payWellness programLicence/Certification:Full Irish Driving Licence (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In personApplication deadline: 04/12/2025
