Senior Automation Equipment Engineer Job
This is a senior role that requires experience in automation and equipment engineering, particularly in the medical device industry.
About the Role:
The primary objective of this position is to provide technical support for both new and existing manufacturing equipment. This includes developing expertise in various automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robotics, PC software, and databases.
Responsibilities:
* Documentation: Generating detailed specifications, design, development, and testing documentation for new equipment and automated systems.
* System Knowledge: Developing and applying expertise in various automation systems.
* Troubleshooting: Analyzing, understanding, and fault-finding complex automated equipment.
* Code Management: Developing, testing, and installing code changes to existing equipment under strict change control procedures.
* Project Management: Actively participating in cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Requirements:
* An Honours Bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8) in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Software, or a related Engineering discipline.
* At least 5+ years of relevant experience, with essential experience in automation systems and automated production equipment within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, leadership and influencing skills, and the ability to work well within a team and on one's own initiative.
