The Lead Cost & Inventory Accountant supports accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting across manufacturing and supply chain operations. Working with the Costing & Inventory Senior Manager, this role provides analysis, maintains inventory controls, and partners with cross-functional teams to drive cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update standard costs; lead the annual cost refresh. Analyse manufacturing variances (PPV, absorption, freight, scrap, etc.) and provide cost insights for pricing and new product decisions. Complete monthly inventory close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations. Collaborate with Operations to strengthen inventory processes and controls. Monitor inventory levels, manage cycle counts, and assess aged/obsolete stock. Ensure accurate valuation in line with accounting standards and support audits. Experience 5+ years in cost accounting or financial analysis, ideally in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management. ERP experience required; SAP preferred. Experience supporting internal/external audits. Skills Advanced Excel; Power BI experience Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
