PB Tech's are required to be self-starters, adaptable to the changing nature of requests, with a proven ability to problem solve, working well among cross functional teams to meet customer deliverables. Supporting manufacture of concept/ early phase builds, gauge R & R's, process validations etc.
Job Requirements

o Health & Safety: Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled for the manufacturing process and ensure machine safety for the line.
* Quality: Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with the Quality standards.
* Building products in development environment:
o Carry out and verify machine set ups.
o Learn and assembly/build subassembly and main assemblies of different catheter designs from start to finish
o Visual and dimensional in-process and final inspection of parts
o Support engineering activities for process and test method validation
o Provide qualitative and quantitative feedback on processes to engineers
o If one of more Product Builders are working on the product, coordinate their work and support in troubleshooting to ensure production can proceed
o Flexibility in tasks and changes in methods
* Continuous improvement:
o Use of initiative to support and improve production performance.Identify and work with Engineering to implement improvement opportunities minimize
Additional Responsibilities

* Own area 5S+1
* Willing to be flexible and open to learning, and training in new processes.
* Work with Manufacturing Technicians & Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardizing, and improving existing or new production methods/ procedures as well as other technical support activities.
* Carry out additional technical duties in line with the tech PB role and all other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor of the area as per business needs.
* Covering product builder unplanned absenteeism.
Key Requirements
* Proven keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a highly technical, challenging and changing environment.
* Computer literate in MS Excel, Word etc.
* Have excellent time keeping and attendance record.
* Demonstrated team player.
* Proven ability to work on own initiative.
* Understanding of medical device production workflows.
* Advantage is knowledge of standard processes for building catheters like braiding, jacket lamination via Vertical Heat Shrink and oven, Liner stretching, gluing and thermal bonding
* Experience with medical device manufacturing within NPD processes is advantageous.

* Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Be innovative in line with lean thinking and process excellence.
* Fluent spoken and written English
* High level of dexterity is essential.
* Demonstrated technical capabilities in current role & ability to learn processes quickly.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of Engineering, Quality Systems and lean manufacturing.
* Advantage is lean or six sigma certification
