Senior Health and Safety Officer
A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking a
Senior Health and Safety Officer
to oversee HSE management on a Pharma project in Limerick which is just starting. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management in a collaborative, professional environment, promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) initiatives across multiple projects.
* Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
* Manage incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
* Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.
* Maintain and improve company HSE management systems and ISO accreditations.
* Promote strong safety culture and near-miss reporting across all teams.
Requirements
* Diploma or Degree in
Health & Safety
(or equivalent).
* Pharma project experience
* Minimum
4 years' HSE experience
in construction or civil engineering.
* Experience managing ISO standards and environmental systems.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
