This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects nationwide, helping to drive and deliver the companys environmental and sustainability agenda across multiple sectors including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Infrastructure, and Mission Critical.
This role will suit a motivated professional who is passionate about sustainability, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities Act as the environmental focal point for site-based teams, supporting the development and implementation of Environmental and Sustainability Management Plans.
Provide technical guidance on project-level environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to legislation and continual improvement against corporate sustainability targets.
Engage with project stakeholdersincluding sustainability champions, construction managers, clients, designers, suppliers, and subcontractorsto communicate environmental requirements and collect key data related to: Environmental & sustainability management plans Material submittals and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) Embodied carbon data for materials, transport, fuel, electricity, water, and waste Develop and communicate project environmental and sustainability requirements to project managers and teams.
Assist in developing templates, tools, and action plans, and provide related training and technical support.
Prepare regular environmental and sustainability performance reports and maintain data within Procore, including audits, inspection forms, and checklists.
Support the Sustainability Manager in implementing corporate sustainability strategy and achieving environmental performance goals.
Contribute to the preparation of award and certification submissions and annual CSRD Sustainability Reports.
Assist with the integration and rollout of Sustain IQ software for reporting, automation, and KPI tracking.
Provide ongoing support to the Sustainability Manager on all environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required Degree (Level 7/8 or higher) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years experience in an environmental management or sustainability role within the construction or engineering sectors.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations, best practices, and sustainability frameworks relevant to construction projects.
Proven ability to develop and implement environmental and sustainability action plans.
Experience in the construction delivery phase of major development projects is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational, communication, and reporting skills.
Full, clean Irish drivers licence and willingness to travel extensively to project sites nationwide.
Adaptable, proactive, and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
