MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To provide a professional human resource service to the business, supporting the People Business Partner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Support the People Business Partner, focusing on Employee Relations.
Assist the People Business Partner with drafting of HR processes and policies in line with compliance requirements and best market practices.
Provide process improvement and policy gaps recommendations.
Deliver a consistent, knowledgeable, and professional service in areas including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, performance management, long term sick leave and conflict dispute resolution.
Act as a point of contact for ER issues with the ability to offer informal support.
Facilitate trainings to build employee relations abilities among line managers.
Collate HR metrics required for pre-quals and surveys.
Assist with day-to-day HR duties.
Undertake HR projects as and when required.
Provide cover for other team members during annual leave, sickness, or any other periods of leave.

Participate in, and positively promote, the Murphy Never Harm Programme
Undertake any reasonable duties requested of you
Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety and any other legal requirements
Ensure compliance with the Company policies and procedures
Participate and engage fully in the Performance & Development Review process
Travel within Ireland & to the UK will be necessary but not frequent
Note: In addition to these People Team personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required to support the objectives of the Country / Group / Company.
QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
Degree qualified in Human Resource Management.
CIPD accredited (preferable but not essential).
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
2-4 years HR generalist experience
Strong knowledge of current employment legislation
Strong experience within Human Resources with a focus on Employee Relations
Ability and confidence to deliver human resource guidance and advice to staff at all levels within the organisation.
Excellent administration and IT skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A team player with a collaborative approach to working with others.
Previous experience in the Construction industry would be a distinct advantage.
