Offer description

Our esteemed client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for a temporary part time accounts assistant role for a period of three months, with a genuine possibility of extension or transitioning into a permanent post. Based in a professional and collaborative environment, you will be crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of the office, offering high-level support to management and staff, and managing key financial administration tasks. Key Requirements Handling all accounting tasks including invoicing, expense tracking, and bill payments using QuickBooks. Management of aged debtors and payment reconciliations. Preparing bi-monthly VAT returns and monthly bank reconciliations. Logging staff project hours and managing debtor accounts. Assisting with monthly payroll and processing wage payments. General duties including answering calls, dealing with emails and queries, liaising with suppliers and clients, tracking office supplies, and booking transport/accommodation. Setting up new projects on the database, collating documentation for tender submissions, managing ISO records and audits, and updating company policies. Organising staff trainings, updating CPD logs, maintaining personnel records, preparing presentations, updating social media, organising company events, and providing administrative support to the management team. Essential Requirements: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar busy accounts' role. Proven experience in accounts/bookkeeping using Sage or QuickBooks Experience working within Irish Payroll essential. Strong IT skills across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong numerical ability. Relevant 3rd Level Qualification desired but not essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organisational abilities. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle high volume tasks to a deadline. Enthusiastic self-starter with capabilities to self-motivate.
