Senior Quantity Surveyors
to support high-profile construction projects in the Dublin region.
Role Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery, including valuations, cost control, subcontractor management, and reporting.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a commercial team and contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management & Reporting
Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, and reconciliations for contracts, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliers.
Provide accurate information to support regular cash flow and contract position reviews.
Assist in placing sub-contracts under the direction of the Procurement Manager where required.
Contract Administration & Financial Control
Examine contract documents and highlight anomalies.
Prepare, submit, and agree interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
Prepare necessary take-offs in advance of requirements from Estimating, Procurement, and Planning teams.
Compile final accounts for each completed section, including adjustments, and submit to clients.
Carefully record and manage contractual delays.
Team Leadership
Manage and coach contract surveyors, assistant surveyors, and junior surveyors reporting to the role.
Promote a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Candidate Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
7+ years' experience, preferably with a main contractor.
Previous project experience on Residential and Commercial construction/civil engineering projects.
Chartered or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCS).
Competencies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong IT skills and familiarity with commercial software and reporting tools.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
