Care Network Ireland is currently recruiting a qualified acute nurse for an acute facility in Kilkenny.
The Acute Care Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and complex health conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with acute or critical illnesses.
* Monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions and responses to treatment.
* Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
* Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
* Operate and maintain medical equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, and ventilators.
* Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery processes.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and reports.
* Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
* Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license [State-specific].
* Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
* Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of acute care or hospital-based nursing experience preferred.
