About The Role
The System Hardware Validation Engineer will work as part of Qualcomm’s SVE (System Validation Emulation) Team on leading technologies such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. SVE has a critical impact on delivering high quality functional products quickly. The team consists of low-level validation engineers with expertise in Synthetic OS, DDR memories, sensors, security, CPUs and caching, Nucleus RTOS, embedded systems, and will test Qualcomm's next generation SoCs. You will develop or port test software to evaluate new hardware IPs.
The successful candidate will focus on driver/firmware development and validation, debugging and issue resolution, and software use‑case implementation. They will work closely with system architects, software engineers, hardware designers, and verification engineers.
Role & Responsibilities
Delivery of low‑level hardware drivers for Snapdragon subsystems
Validate and test drivers and hardware
Migrate drivers to new platforms as required
Drive innovation in software use‑cases
Refactor code continuously
Develop and execute test plans
Required Skills
3‑5 years of low‑level software development experience (C, C++, Assembly)
Excellent knowledge of ARM and RISC‑V processors
Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies
Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure solutions
Experience with SCM tools (GIT, Perforce)
Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA)
Good communication skills
Strong debugging skills
Preferred Skills
Develop and optimize test framework and tools for large‑scale validation
Design and define new validation strategies and detailed test plans
Lead debugging efforts for pre‑silicon and post‑silicon issues
Define, design, and execute platform pre‑silicon and post‑silicon validation plans
Provide mentorship and technical direction to a distributed team of validation engineers
Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience
or Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience
or PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field
