Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Continuous Improvement professional to join a leading food manufacturing business.
This new position will play a key role in analysing and improving end-to-end operational processes — from intake through to dispatch — driving measurable efficiency gains and supporting the business’s continuous improvement culture.
This is a hands‑on, data‑focused role suited to someone who enjoys interrogating processes, identifying opportunities, and implementing practical, sustainable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and bottlenecks
* Develop and implement improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce process duration
* Use operational data to identify trends and provide actionable insight
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed changes and support continuous improvement
* Document and standardise improved processes to ensure sustainability
* Track and report progress and results to senior management
Key Measures of Success
* Improvement in process cycle times and overall efficiency
* Reduced downtime, waste, or non‑value‑added activity
* Increased visibility and data‑driven decision‑making across operations
* Sustainable implementation of improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
Essential:
* Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement, or Operational Excellence role within manufacturing (food industry advantageous)
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvement
* Practical knowledge of process mapping, root cause analysis, and performance metrics
* Hands‑on approach with a natural curiosity to challenge and improve existing methods
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to work effectively across teams
Desirable:
* Understanding of Lean tools and techniques (e.g. 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)
* Experience using data analysis or visualisation tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
* CI certification is beneficial but not required
