Job Overview
To support the head of Commercial Finance and Finance leads in:
* Providing a comprehensive, proactive, and responsive financial service to the UK & Ireland Commercial Team(s).
* Driving revenue growth and margin improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, challenging the status quo, and conducting insightful analysis of market and business information.
* Implementing strong decision-support processes, facilitating projects, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
* Maintaining Customer Cost and Value Models.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain robust externally facing Customer Cost Models to support commercial opportunities and minimize cost inflation risks, focusing on commodity pass-through, utilities inflation, and carcass balance enhancement.
* Understand market values and principles, especially cost drivers in inter-company meat supply, to promote profit-maximizing opportunities.
* Provide analysis for forecasting and budgeting processes.
* Support the Commercial teams with independent reviews, ensuring robust processes, financial control, and commercial awareness.
* Review commercial plans with a forensic approach, interpret internal requirements, and assist in standard sales reporting.
* Enable the Commercial teams to excel in revenue growth and margin improvement, including opportunities from customer tenders.
* Identify margin enhancement opportunities through analysis of volumes, revenues, product costs, and overheads.
* Assist in sales forecasting and budgeting, developing routines that promote participation, narrative, sensitivity analysis, and strategic opportunities.
