Senior Electrical Engineer – Pharma / Medical Devices – Contract
Join LSC, Life Science Consultants as a Senior Electrical Engineer working in a high‑volume GMP medical device manufacturing facility in Limerick.
Role PurposeSenior/lead electrical engineer required to lead all electrical aspects of design, commissioning and optimisation of automated manufacturing machinery, from LV distribution to 24V control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee development, testing and installation of electrical distribution and control systems in a 24/7 validated production environment.
Provide technical support and decision‑making on hardware and architecture selection within a multidisciplinary project team.
Advise on fault‑finding of complex automation equipment and control systems.
Maintain comprehensive documentation to Medical Device standards.
Inspect vendor electrical equipment for compliance with electrical requirements.
Carry out electrical commissioning assessments and sign‑off new/modified installations.
Qualifications
Minimum Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of current Irish and international electrical standards, directives, and best practices.
Design and commissioning of LV distribution and MCC systems.
Design and commissioning of 24V controls and automation systems.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a GMP environment.
