The role of Procurement/Stores Assistant revolves around working in a collaborative environment where stock management at point of use is conducted through the utilization of scanning systems. The individual will be responsible for maintaining strict replenishment schedules.
* They will work at Point of Use as required by their Supervisor or Line Manager, assigned to scanning and/or replenishing of stock.
* The use of Barcode scanning system will enable them to reserve stock efficiently.
* Maintenance of inventory storage systems is also a critical component of this role.
* Participation in regular point of use audits will ensure that the team remains up-to-date with any changes or updates.
* The Utilization of ICT Procurement Systems (Punch-out and SAP systems) will facilitate efficiencies in service delivery.
* To assist line manager in the performance of his/her duties and to carry out such other duties as may be assigned to him/her.
* Implementing new systems as directed by Line Manger and cooperating with the introduction and use of new technology and practices.
* Extensive use of Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word & Excel
* Ensuring deadlines are met and that service levels are maintained.
Requirements:
* SAP experience is essential
* Manual Handling skills are required
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environment (Logistics/Procurement) is necessary
