We are looking for a Senior Energy and Sustainability Engineer to manage, design, develop, and evaluate energy-related projects or programs aimed at reducing costs and improving energy efficiency during the design, construction, or re-modelling stages.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage all aspects of Energy & Sustainability Engineering for projects, ensuring performance, profitability, and client satisfaction.
2. Manage, appoint, and audit subcontractors and their information as appropriate.
3. Coordinate dynamic thermal modelling analysis (IESVE), including Part L Assessments, Comfort Analysis (TM52/59), natural ventilation studies, and daylighting.
4. Oversee studies related to BREEAM Credits, including thermal comfort, low and zero carbon technologies, emission reduction, operational energy, and daylighting.
5. Lead residential Part L assessments using accredited SAP software as part of energy strategies.
6. Prepare Energy & Sustainability Statements for developments, coordinating contributions from various design stakeholders.
7. Develop high-quality reports to communicate issues and conclusions clearly; prepare sustainability and energy strategies as a core responsibility.
8. Support business development efforts, including contributing to marketing materials and participating in project interviews.
9. Undertake domestic and/or non-domestic EPCs for new and existing buildings.
10. Lead the adoption of new systems and technologies.
11. Mentor and develop less experienced engineers.
12. Travel to client and project sites as needed for meetings, surveys, or training.
13. Maintain and promote EDC's reputation within the industry to secure repeat business.
14. Collaborate with other EDC offices on relevant matters.
