Job Description:
The Green Recruitment Company are currently working with a global IPP who are looking for a Project Manager to join their Dublin office. The business has a 6GW pipeline across 8 different global offices. The business is paying a basic salary + bonus + LTIP.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of the development of large multi-contract SolarPV renewable energy projects from green-field sites through to commercial operation.
2. Management of the tender/negotiation process for the procurement of professional services, equipment supply and works contracts required for project delivery.
3. Supporting the Land Management Team in the implementation, acquisition, and control of project development, design and construction for renewable energy projects.
4. Supporting the legal department in ensuring document assurance, particularly for land agreements.
5. Manage and coordinate project-specific engagements with project stakeholders, organising project messaging and in-person consultation events, and regular communication with community stakeholders and the wider design team.
6. Liaise with the Transmission System Operator/ Distribution System Operator (TSO/DSO) with regard to the grid connection process.
7. Manage the interactions with all project statutory and non-statutory consultees in order to develop best-in-class renewable projects.
8. Management of the project-specific elements of the Programming department. Management of subcontractor programmes to ensure project works are progressed on schedule, project milestones are achieved and critical wider industry milestones are met.
9. Implement industry best practices in project controls, project reporting and performance management.
10. Coordinating project reporting and data presentation for senior management.
11. Robust management of each project’s suite of PMO documents and processes including individual project schedules, budgets, reporting as well as stakeholder and risk registers. Assist the wider project team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the requisite quality standards while remaining in line with wider business metrics.
The basic requirements for this role are:
1. Project Management of industrial-scale Solar projects.
2. Ability to create and interpret detailed project programs ensuring successful delivery.
3. Team leading and team management across all aspects of project development.
4. Manage team meetings and progress status updates ensuring project risks are adequately monitored.
5. Monitor the schedules and time scales regarding design, procurement and delivery.
6. Manage wider Ireland staff when required in the development of Solar PV projects.
7. Manage planning consultants in the delivery of robust planning applications.
8. Cost, revenue and cash flow management.
9. Liaise with local authorities and the consenting authority on all project planning issues.
10. Experience in Renewable Energy project delivery in an Irish context is desirable.
11. Experience with GIS/shapefiles and/or Auto Cad is desirable.
12. Experience with PVCad Solar Array drafting and PVSyst principles.
For this role you must have:
1. A min of 2-3 years of planning experience in an Irish context on industrial Solar development.
2. A related Engineering/Construction/Environmental/Planning qualification.
3. You MUST be degree-qualified.
4. Experience with PVCad Solar Array drafting and PVSyst principle.
5. A self-starter and the ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
