Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cork
We're partnered with a leading construction and engineering contractor, operating across Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe. They are looking for a Senior and Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a high‑performing project team in Cork.

The Role
Take full ownership of quantity surveying duties on assigned projects, ensuring all commercial and contractual obligations are met and overall value is maximised.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day commercial and contractual activities.
* Lead contract administration processes, including change management and maintenance of key registers (e.g. Change Order Log).
* Secure best value in subcontract procurement and contract negotiations.
* Support the management of project budgets, cost plans and feasibility studies.
* Validate and approve subcontractor interim applications and final accounts, ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act.
* Lead pre‑appointment subcontractor meetings to clearly define scope and mitigate contractual risk through correct flow‑down terms.
* Prepare accurate monthly Cost Value Reports for review with Commercial, Project and Contracts Managers, and for presentation to Project Directors.
* Maximise project cash flow through timely submission of monthly valuations with comprehensive supporting documentation.
* Negotiate, prepare and submit final accounts, including claims for loss and expense, delay, disruption and extensions of time.
* Maintain strong working relationships with design teams and client representatives.
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or equivalent.
* At least 3 years experience in Quantity Surveying.
* Strong understanding of major construction contract forms.
* Ability to critically review documentation and identify gaps or commercial opportunities.
* In‑depth understanding of construction processes, systems and techniques.Strong commercial awareness, numeracy, and report‑writing skills.
* Excellent negotiation, conflict management and communication abilities.
* Highly process‑oriented with strong attention to detail.
