Job Title: Technical Officer - Crop Science & Horticulture
This is a permanent and temporary post within the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science.
About the Role:
* Run the Crop Science and Horticulture Laboratories to support both research and teaching.
* Support Crop Science and Horticulture teaching and demonstration needs to undergraduate and graduate students.
* Be a member of two Sections in the School (Animal & Crop Sciences, Environment & Sustainable Resource Management).
About the Team:
You will be working with the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science, which includes research in crop genetics, crop improvement, crop agronomy, crop disease and crop nutrition as well as the study of soil/root interactions.
About the Work Location:
The main Crop Science and Horticulture Laboratory and the Rosemount Horticulture Station are located on the Belfield campus. You will also be expected to carry out some duties at the UCD Lyons Farm, Newcastle, County Dublin.
Benefits:
This role comes with a competitive salary ranging from €46,793 to €61,319 per annum, made in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
