This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation while helping to maintain our core ethos here at Sysco – connecting the world through food and taking care of one another.Key AccountabilitiesKey participant in the day‑to‑day Finance function working across multiple entitiesStrong focus on cost of goods reporting and associated variance analysisDrive consistent and clear reporting on a weekly and monthly basis to the senior management team showing true underlying performance vs plan and forecast (including FX impact, volume changes, cost inflation, discounts, rebates and waste)Understand and drive business performance by identifying, owning and developing the commercial KPI’s and related dashboards and reportsIdentification, planning and execution of internal projects to drive change and improvements in the area of responsibilityProactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver as neededManage the month‑end financial reporting process for related financial statement areas and adhere to reporting timelinesParticipate in the year‑end statutory audit process and other external audit requirementsReporting and analysis to provide insights to senior management and leadership team to aid business decision makingPlanning, forecasting and analysis of cost of goodsBalance sheet reconciliation processAutomation agenda related to area of responsibilityRequirementsNewly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills; a naturally enquiring approach, with strong commercial mind‑set and acumen – demonstrable by reference to previous work experiencesSubstantial knowledge and understanding of management accounting procedures, with the ability to work accurately and in a detailed manner to meet strict deadlinesCreative & innovative individual with a strong ability to identify opportunities to improve processesFoodservice industry / FMCG experience desirable but not essentialHigh competency in MS Excel and database systemsExperience of Microsoft ERPs an advantage but not essentialExperience in data analytics / process automation highly desirableStrong presentation skillsStrategic thinkerAbility to build and develop collaborative relationships and to influence stakeholdersResilient attitude and desire to see things through to completionCultureCustomer Focus: We deeply understand our customers’ needs, continuously looking at ways to deliver real value.Building Relationships: We foster strong, effective relationships across teams, always working together.Clear Communication: We communicate clearly and effectively, ensuring our message resonates.A Passion for Food: We source and deliver food and drink that inspires excellence and creativity in kitchens for the most memorable dining experiences.The accountabilities and requirements outlined in this job description are neither definitive nor restrictive and may change in detail from time‑to‑time to meet the changing needs of the business.
