AA Euro Group are currently seeking an Electrical Pre-Construction Manager on behalf of a leading international main contractor specialising in the delivery of data centres, pharmaceutical facilities, and critical infrastructure across Europe.
This is a key strategic role within the business, responsible for leading the electrical input across tendering and pre-construction phases on highly technical, large-scale projects.
You will play a critical part in shaping project strategy, ensuring technical excellence, and securing successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all electrical pre-construction activities across multiple bids and live opportunities
Review tender documentation and develop robust electrical design and delivery strategies
Manage and coordinate input from internal teams and external consultants (designers, engineers, supply chain)
Drive value engineering initiatives while maintaining compliance with client specifications and industry standards
Prepare detailed cost plans, budgets, and technical submissions in collaboration with commercial teams
Identify project risks and opportunities at early stages and implement mitigation strategies
Engage with clients and key stakeholders during bid and negotiation phases
Support procurement strategy, including subcontractor selection and technical evaluation
Provide technical guidance to project delivery teams during handover from pre-construction to operations
Stay up to date with industry trends, innovations, and regulatory requirements within mission-critical environments
Key Requirements
Proven experience in an Electrical Pre-Construction / Estimating / Design Management role within a main contractor or specialist MEP contractor
Strong track record working on data centres, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical projects
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, and critical resilience systems
Experience managing the full tender lifecycle on large-scale projects (50M+ MEP value)
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence cost and programme outcomes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Desirable
Experience working with hyperscale data centre clients or pharmaceutical manufacturers
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Experience across European markets
Knowledge of BIM, digital engineering, and modern methods of construction
