The opportunity
We're hiring a sharp, commercially minded Financial Controller to lead our finance function and support the Director of Finance.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, internal controls, cash management and leading a high-performing team.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and develop a finance team (c.5 people): coaching, performance management and day-to-day oversight.
Oversee income audit, accounts payable, payroll (weekly/monthly), owner & membership billing, and accounts receivable.
Produce monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary; prepare accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations.
Manage weekly cashflow projections, banking operations and cash control processes.
VAT preparation, support year-end accounts and annual budget preparation.
Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and present financial updates to management.
You'll succeed if you have:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE in the hospitality industry.
Proven experience as an Assistant Financial Controller / Financial Controller in a luxury hotel or resort.
Strong commercial, analytical and technical skills; highly proficient in Excel and financial systems.
Leadership experience, excellent communication, and the ability to perform under pressure with accuracy and integrity.
