Occupational Therapist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team, providing direct services to children and their families in a community-based setting.
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to an interdisciplinary approach to care, delivering assessments and interventions through a family-centred approach.
The ideal candidate will have postgraduate experience of working with children and families, along with a broad knowledge of the Progressing Disability Services for children and young people programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage a caseload, providing assessments and interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
* Take a key role in setting and achieving goals with service users and their families.
* Maintain high-quality clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards.
* Contribute to overall service planning and development.
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including families and other agencies.
* Participate in mandatory training and continuous professional development.
* Act as a mandated person under the Children First National Guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.
* Promote a safe and inclusive working environment, supporting risk management and HIQA standards.
Requirements
* Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* Experience of working with children and families in a community-based setting.
* Broad knowledge of the Progressing Disability Services for children and young people programme.
