About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on civil engineering projects in Dublin.
This is a senior leadership role with significant influence on project delivery and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, and cost reconciliations for contracts, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
Provide accurate cash flow forecasts and contract position reports.
Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to place sub-contracts and manage procurement strategy.
Review and interpret contract documents, highlighting anomalies and risks.
Negotiate and agree valuations and final accounts with client representatives.
Record and manage contractual delays and variations.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of surveyors at various levels.
Requirements
10+ years' experience in a commercial role, ideally with a main contractor.
Strong background in civil engineering projects (roads, utilities, infrastructure, Data Centres etc).
Chartered or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and IT skills.
