Project management and development of heritage programs are key aspects of this role, encompassing the Irish Walled Towns Network and the Adopt a Monument initiative.
* Coordinate research and publish advisory material for member towns, enhancing their understanding of built heritage.
* Provide grants for conservation and community festivals to preserve historic sites.
* Train community groups on effective heritage interpretation techniques.
This role also involves managing Ireland's participation in the European Heritage Label, awarded by the European Commission every 2 years to recognize outstanding heritage sites across Europe.
