Powerscourt Hotel, Resort & Spa is currently recruiting for a Meeting & Events Executive to join our Sales & Events Department.
The successful candidate must be highly motivated, well organized, and passionate in delivering memorable experiences

About the role:
Meeting & Events Executive for Powerscourt Hotel.
Coordinates events from proposal through to event fulfilment.
Communicates with the hotel departments and customer to ensure consistent high-level service throughout from pre-event, event, and post event phase.
Manages function space and room block inventory to maximize hotel profit.
Ensures hotel and client fulfil group contractual commitments.
Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
This role will suit an outgoing personality with a pro-active and detailed approach to hotel sales who enjoys working in a dynamic fast paced environment
This role is best suited to an individual with strong organization, communication, selling and presentation skills as the role involves communicating with clients, hotel guests and hotel departments on a daily basis
.
The Ideal candidate will possess:
Strong command of the English Language
Previous experience of events in a 5-star hotel or equivalent relevant experience, at least 2 years preferable
Excellent Customer Service
Welcoming friendly personality and manner
Polished and professional demeanour at all times
Ability to prioritise and organise work
Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services
Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and banquet and event service operations
Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories
Strong customer development and relationship management skills
Knowledge of Event Technology products and services
Strong attention to detail is required
Knowledge of contract management
Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera Sales & Catering
