We are hiring an Person in Charge for a Nursing Home in Co.
Carlow.
Responsibilities Provide supportive leadership to staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards, policies, and statutory regulations.
Oversee care planning, assessments, audits, incident reporting, and governance processes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in resident care.
Lead recruitment, induction, supervision, and ongoing staff development.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies.
Manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently to support optimal service delivery.
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation, policies, and systems.
Respond promptly to inspections, emergencies, and regulatory requirements.
Champion initiatives that promote resident well-being, dignity, and quality of life.
Requirements Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) with active registration.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior nursing management role within a residential care setting (ADON/DON) Comprehensive understanding of HIQA standards, the Health Act ****, and relevant best practice guidelines.
Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong commitment to quality care, resident safety, and empowerment.
