Purpose of the role
The Payroll Specialist will work closely with the Finance team to deliver weekly and monthly payroll runs accurately and within strict deadlines.
Key Function
* Process weekly and monthly payroll runs accurately and on time.
* Verify and process expense claims.
* Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
* Handle employee payroll-related inquiries promptly and professionally.
* Liaise with HR and finance team to ensure accurate data integration.
* Assist with audits by preparing necessary payroll documentation.
* Process deductions such as benefits.
* Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices.
Qualifications And Skills
* Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally within a similar role.
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
* Good communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
* Certification in payroll (e.g., IPASS) or relevant HR / Payroll qualification highly desirable
Experience
* 2+ years experience in a similar role
* Experience in the healthcare sector extremely desirable
* Experience in working in a growing and changing environment
