Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced
Commercial Lines Assistant Manager
to support the management and growth of our clients commercial insurance division. This role involves assisting in the oversight of commercial lines operations, supporting the team, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products, excellent client relationship skills, and leadership capabilities. This role is based in Donegal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the commercial lines department.
* Support the Commercial Lines Manager in developing and implementing sales and service strategies.
* Handle a portfolio of commercial clients, including renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims support.
* Liaise with insurers to negotiate competitive terms and ensure appropriate coverage.
* Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Ireland regulations and internal policies.
* Provide guidance and support to junior staff and account handlers.
* Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the client base.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory standards.
* Assist in training and mentoring team members to enhance performance and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in commercial insurance broking.
* CIP qualification or grandfathered status (APA may be considered with experience).
* Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and markets.
* Familiarity with Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements.
* Experience using industry software (e.g., Relay or similar platforms).
