Overview
A major player in the food production sector is seeking a dynamic Senior Maintenance Manager to lead site-wide maintenance operations at a high-performing facility in County Kildare. This is a strategic leadership role suited to someone with a proven track record in engineering and maintenance management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving reliability, compliance, and innovation across the plant.
Responsibilities
* Lead and evolve the site\'s maintenance strategy to ensure optimal performance of equipment and utilities.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement, embedding lean principles and reliability-focused practices.
* Oversee capital projects and technical upgrades, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks across all maintenance activities.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver engineering solutions that support operational growth.
* Manage vendor relationships and supervise contractor activities to uphold safety and quality standards.
* Inspire and develop a high-performing maintenance team through strong leadership and coaching.
Criteria
* Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar).
* Extensive experience (10 years) in maintenance leadership within food or FMCG manufacturing.
* Demonstrated success in managing large teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
* Deep understanding of regulatory standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
* Strong project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies is highly desirable.
