Job Title: Electrical Technician
This is a key role within the Transport Technology directorate, working closely with the Transport management system (TMS) team and Integrated Ticketing System (ITS) team to ensure smooth operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the installation and upgrade of systems at various sites, including NTA and customer premises. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with suppliers and operators to resolve technical issues.
The primary responsibilities include addressing service-related issues at operator sites, troubleshooting software and hardware problems, providing training to customers and new personnel, and developing documentation to standardize operational support interfaces.
A critical aspect of this role is ensuring timely incident fault management relating to vehicle equipment and NTA back office systems through a managed service desk. Additionally, the technician will support ongoing and new project initiatives implemented by the NTA and Transport Technology directorate.
The role requires frequent off-site visits to Service Providers' and end-users' premises, making effective time management and organization crucial.
Key Requirements:
* More than three years of experience in similar technical service environments;
* National Craft Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Automotive fields;
* Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex technical issues;
* Demonstrable ability to fault-find and troubleshoot electrical systems;
* Systems analysis and design experience; customer-facing skills beneficial;
* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
