Construction Buyer Role
Your new role is to support construction operations by sourcing and procuring goods and services efficiently. Working closely with construction sites, this role ensures timely delivery of materials, plant, and equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive requisitions from construction sites and raise accurate purchase orders for construction materials, plant, and equipment.
* Manage certifications for all certified plant and temporary fire control on site and at head office.
* Coordinate logistics and transport, including the movement of company plant and materials to and from sites.
This role reports to the Purchasing Director and requires strong negotiation abilities, excellent communication and vendor management skills. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/purchasing systems is necessary, as well as familiarity with the domestic construction supply chain.
