ABOUT THE ROLE
This warehouse operative evening shift role will have a particular emphasis on managing returns within the operations team. Working closely with their team leader they will play a key role in managing customer returns and carry out ancillary activities within the evening team as required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* work to KPI's set out by line manager and take pride in the workplace. Maintain a standard of excellence and best practice in relation to day to day activities.
* Marshall and manage returns as they are returned by our customer base and process through our various systems in an efficient manner
* Engage with relevant stakeholders both internal and external in relation to returns and follow up on outstanding queries.
* Report to Team Leader on trends / activity within the function
* Become involved in put-away and replenishment as required.
* Loading and unloading of vehicles, and processing of receipts through ERP system
* Work with picking. packing and marshalling of orders as required.
* Carry out stock cycle checks as directed, report product defects $ shortages to warehouse manager as they arise.
* Work on projects and initiatives as identified by Warehouse Manager / Team Leader – be a person who embraces change.
* Adhere to company and government policies/standards, ensuring best practice and compliance within our various standards. Adopt a pro-active level of awareness to Health & Safety within the workplace and report incidents immediately to line manager
* Effective communication and collaboration with other departments and teams within the company to improve performance and customer service.
REQUIREMENTS
* 2-3 years previous experience in a similar capacity
* Have a particular emphasis on attention to detail
* Possess a strong ability to work with computerised systems (ERP, WMS etc)
* Manual handling/forklift certification
* A positive can do attitude towards your work
