AA Euro Group is currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join a leading renewables contractor on a major renewable energy project based in South Cork. This is a permanent position with an estimated 24 months of work on the initial project and further projects in the pipeline across the region.The Role:As Electrical Site Manager, you will lead the on-site electrical delivery of a utility-scale renewables project, including substations, grid connections, and associated infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe, timely, and compliant execution of all electrical works on-site. You will liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and the client to ensure smooth coordination and quality outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Act as the on-site lead for all electrical works and installationsOversee the day-to-day operations of subcontractors and site teamsEnsure that all electrical works comply with project designs, technical specifications, and safety regulationsCoordinate with design teams to clarify technical issues and drive design solutions on-siteMonitor construction progress, manage schedules, and report site performanceReview and approve construction work packs and ensure readiness for executionIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategies proactivelyPromote and enforce a strong safety culture across all site activitiesSupport commissioning activities and ensure readiness for energisationLiaise closely with project management, client representatives, and grid authoritiesProvide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to site-based electrical personnelRequirements:Degree or Trade Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplineMinimum 8 years experience in site-based electrical management, preferably on utility or renewables projectsProven track record delivering substation or high-voltage electrical worksStrong knowledge of ESB/EirGrid specifications and standards is highly desirableStrong understanding of project delivery, construction sequencing, and safety managementAbility to lead teams, coordinate across disciplines, and manage contractorsProficiency in tools such as MS Office; experience with AutoCAD or similar is a bonusExcellent communication, leadership, and organisational skillsStrong commercial and risk awarenessAbility to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
