Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all internal calibrations within the Grifols Calibration department to the Grangecastle Manufacturing Facility.
The role involves maintaining documentation, calibration schedules, reporting, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with GMP and SOPs.
This position is primarily a day role, although the candidate may be required to work on a shift basis depending on developing business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, level, pH, conductivity analyzers, control valves and various instruments on utility and process systems.
Maintain all calibration documentation in an organized and controlled manner in compliance with GMP and company regulations.
Develop and implement systems for scheduling and documenting the performance of calibration activities.
Develop a monthly report detailing the current calibration schedule for the maintenance manager.
Trend and analyze performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of calibration systems.
Arrange for quotations for calibration equipment or outsource calibration requirements and liaise with suppliers.
Ensure all calibrations are completed per the appropriate calibration procedures and arrange repairs for defective equipment.
Liaise with department supervisors, area owners, and outsourced personnel to coordinate schedules and documentation.
Participate in weekly maintenance department meetings to update on calibration activities.
Engage in Grifols CI (Continuous Improvement) program and initiate a Safety Good Catch program within the calibration department.
Adhere to strict gowning procedures and clean room behavior when working in clean rooms.
Fully engage with site safety requirements.
Key Competencies
City & Guilds 225 Parts 1, 2 & 3, or Diploma in Industrial Automation & Controls or Applied Physics and Instrumentation.
3 years working experience in industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical or relevant GMP manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and engineering documentation.
Proficiency in computer operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Willingness and ability to develop proficiency in engineering type-specific software programs and systems.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and flexibly, collaborating with managers/supervisors to ensure compliance.
Person Specification
5 years of experience in a similar regulated environment.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
SAP experience.
