Role Overview
The Quality Technician role is responsible for ensuring quality requirements and standards are met within manufacturing departments. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, dependable, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop an in-depth understanding of NDT inspection methods such as Ultrasonics (UT) and Magnetic Particle inspection (MPI).
* Optimise systems and equipment to suit our quality and manufacturing processes.
* Investigate quality/production issues in a professional and diligent manner.
* Use facilities available within the company including computer systems, test and alignment equipment and Inspection equipment where relevant.
* Assist in setting up and executing alignment, measurement and inspection within steel fabrication departments along with other duties.
* Develop and maintain systems and records of control processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Shall hold at a minimum level 2 (ISO 9712) UT and MPI qualifications. Possess 1-2 years' experience in a similar role and knowledge of mechanical engineering is advantageous. Experience in a heavy steel construction environment and using AutoCad or similar packages are desirable.
