Project Engineer - Senior

Team Horizon is seeking a Project Engineer - Senior for a leading pharmaceutical in South Dublin.

The Project Engineer will be supporting a portfolio of projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Coordination of project activities to deliver capital projects against Safety, Quality and Schedule commitments.

What you will be doing:

1. Coordination of activities of the capital project against Safety, Schedule and Quality.
2. Ensure the delivery of project through the Capital Project Management Process.
3. Development, reporting and management of the project deliverables.
4. Manage third party contractors and outsourced partners to ensure the optimal delivery of the project against safety, cost, quality and schedule objectives.
5. Drive a safety culture through the project team. Ensure that projects are in compliance with site and corporate regulatory authority guidelines.
6. Project management and execution of projects including project planning/scoping and execution, prioritization, resource management, status management and external communication.
7. Working with various stakeholders, both inside and outside the company to scope projects and ensure requirements are satisfied. Managing expectations and communicating project progress and challenges to these stakeholders.
8. Strategic solution seeking to complex project phasing and execution issues. The Project Manager will be responsible for their portfolio of projects from concept, through design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
9. Coordinating the introduction of new equipment including driving the project team problem solving and troubleshooting process prior to qualification & start-up.
10. Leader of multidisciplinary site teams.
11. Work in a collaborative manner within the Process Teams structure and contribute to Root Cause Investigations and Cross Functional Investigations.
12. Role model safety leadership. Support a safe working environment by driving compliance with environmental health/safety practice, rules and regulations. Ensure projects are designed with superior levels of environmental control, health and safety built in.
13. Supervise contingent workers as needed. These workers include construction managers and all general craft labour including CSA, electrical, architectural and mechanical.
14. Present projects to senior leadership at governing bodies for updates and approvals.
15. Travel may be required to support execution of projects.
16. All other duties as requested or assigned.


What you need to apply:

1. Technical qualification at third level or equivalent in Engineering.
2. Experience of working in an Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firm or with a Biopharmaceutical capital projects team beneficial.
3. Knowledge of safety, GMP and environmental regulatory requirements.
4. Demonstrated strong Communication and Leadership skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
6. Technical report writing and communication/presentation skills.
7. Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
