Role: HR Services Manager (Grade VIII) Location: Cork City Job Type: Full Time 2-year initial contract Salary: €82,258 - €99,213 (depending on previous relevant public sector experience) Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational HR: Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisations HR strategic plan, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and best practice standards. Employee & Industrial Relations: Provide expert advice on Employee and Industrial Relations matters, supporting fair and consistent management of grievances, investigations, and disciplinary processes. Build strong, collaborative relationships with staff representatives and trade unions. Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the HR team to deliver a professional, customer-focused service that reflects the organisations values. Talent & Workforce Planning: Oversee recruitment and workforce planning activities to ensure timely and compliant staffing solutions, promoting the organisation as an employer of choice. Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to all relevant legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements, including data protection, vetting, and employment law compliance. Change Management & Projects: Lead HR improvement projects and support organisational change initiatives to enhance service delivery and the overall staff experience. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Level 8 Degree or higher in HR, Business, Management, or a related field. Minimum 57 years HR experience, including experience at Business Partner or People Leadership level. Demonstrable experience managing complex Employee Relations and Industrial Relations cases. Proven experience in leading HR teams and delivering HR services at a senior level. Strong understanding of Irish employment law, HR governance, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Desirable: CIPD qualification (or equivalent). Experience within the hospital, healthcare, or public sector.
