European Data Protection Legal Expert
* Diligently assess Meta's products, policies and initiatives to devise strategic legal risk mitigation plans for cross-jurisdictional operations.
* Coordinate with our Data Protection Office to provide policy-driven legal guidance from a European data protection and regulatory perspective to various business teams.
* Collaborate with public policy and communications colleagues on external communication, policy development, and enforcement decisions related to data protection.
* Offer comprehensive support to the wider legal team on European regulatory and litigation matters.
* Monitor and respond to key developments in data protection and relevant consumer laws (i.e., new laws, regulations, important judgements, regulatory guidance).
The ideal candidate will possess at least 8 years of experience as an attorney, including work in a law firm or in-house experience. They must hold a current practicing certificate and be authorized to practice law in their assigned work location.
