Manufacturing Software Systems Developer
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Software Systems Developer to join our Global Shop Floor Systems group. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software features associated with manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and MES technologies, including automated data collection, visualization, quality, and efficiency. Integration with other major factory and/or enterprise applications is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain software features associated with manufacturing processes.
* Integrate control system and ERP system data.
* Ensure software design and development work is completed on schedule and impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated to business users.
* Partner with the MES Camstar/Siemens Opcenter support team in providing manufacturing execution systems administration, deployment, and maintenance for development, test, and production environments.
* Modify or build new configurations/workflows in the MES solution to support continuous improvement to manufacturing processes.
* Participate in activities required to support production, including troubleshooting, investigations, MES Camstar/Siemens Opcenter users support, periodic reviews, root cause analysis, preventive and corrective actions.
* Create/review test plans and scripts, conduct testing of the solution to ensure functional and technical specifications are met.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of applied experience in manufacturing and MES technologies, including automated data collection, visualization, quality, and efficiency.
* 3+ years of experience with Siemens Opcenter (Camstar), 3+ years of SQL Server experience, experience with Mendix preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
* Knowledgeable with manufacturing and MOM solutions, including automated data collection, visualization, quality, and efficiency.
* Familiar with SDLC and validation & verification procedures (URS, FDS, TDS, FUT, SIT, etc).
* Excellent team-oriented communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
* Hands-on demeanor and able to troubleshoot software applications.
* Experience working in cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements.
