We are recruiting for a Hybrid Service Engineer based in or around Ulster, covering the Donegal/Tyrone area. You will provide technical support, including installation, training, service, and repair of Print Finishing Systems, Wide Format Printers, and Document Systems within Quadient Ireland’s portfolio. Your role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Your role includes:
* Diagnosing and resolving equipment failures on customer sites within expected timeframes.
* Training operators to optimize equipment performance.
* Addressing technical issues to prevent repeat failures using right first time (RFT) techniques.
* Providing feedback to Service Management on customer satisfaction and suggesting improvements.
* Developing our service business through high standards and additional service offerings.
* Offering remote advice on equipment and software use.
* Planning daily routes and calls to ensure productive and timely service, including preventative maintenance.
* Completing service documentation accurately and promptly.
* Attending training and obtaining manufacturer certifications.
* Interfacing effectively with customers, sales, and team members.
* Managing spare parts inventory.
* Adapting to departmental changes to support the Service Department’s success.
* Providing high-level technical service and building long-term customer relationships.
Your profile:
* Experience with Electro-Mechanical Paper Handling, Large Production Print, or Print Finishing Equipment.
* Diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering.
* Ability to work under pressure on customer sites.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for critical equipment failures.
* Attention to detail and adherence to procedures and policies.
* Initiative and ability to work independently.
* Organizational, planning, and scheduling skills.
* Valid driver’s license.
