Mechanical Design Engineer – Graduate/Junior

Role:
Based in Dublin, the successful Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and production teams to support the design and development of precision-engineered components and tooling.
Responsibilities include:

Supporting the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies
Producing 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
Assisting in the redesign and improvement of existing products and tooling
Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and cost‑effective
Interpreting technical drawings and customer specifications
Participating in problem‑solving and engineering reviews
Supporting prototyping, testing, and validation of designs
Maintaining accurate documentation and revision control

Person:
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years’ experience looking to build a career in design engineering.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and manufacturing processes
Good attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work as part of a team and learn from senior engineers
Strong communication skills
Motivated and eager to develop within a technical environment
