Kids Inc is looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead the daily operations of our early years creches across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on, people-first leadership role, supporting Centre Managers, ensuring quality and compliance, and helping our teams deliver safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate early years care.
What you will do In this role, you will: Manage the day-to-day operations of our early years creches across different locations Support and coach Centre Managers and teams, ensuring they feel confident, capable, and well-trained Help plan and implement playful, creative and meaningful learning experiences aligned to children's needs and interests Ensure safety, safeguarding, and best practice are consistently followed Build strong, positive relationships with parents, staff, and local communities Visit centres regularly to monitor standards and ensure compliance with the Child Care Act **** (Early Years Services) Regulations, Tusla Quality and Regulatory Framework, and Kids Inc policies and quality standards Support recruitment and training strategy across centres Oversee operational matters including budgets, resources, and day-to-day challenges Support the timely and caring resolution of parent or staff concerns area manager What we are looking for Essential skills and experience: Previous experience in a leadership/management role in childcare (minimum 1 year ) QQI Level 6 in Childcare (or recognised equivalent) Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, approachable leadership style A genuine passion for early years care and commitment to a nurturing environment A proactive problem-solver who can juggle priorities and stay calm under pressure Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare Fluent English Full clean, valid driver's licence (travel between creches is required) Garda vetting and references required for child safety area manager What's in it for you Education Assistance Program Career progression opportunities Continuous Professional Development (in-house and external training) Bike to Work, TaxSaver travel travel expenses Staff wellbeing supports (mental and financial) 23 days annual leave + 10 public holidays Employee discount on childcare cost
