Emerald Locums are currently recruiting for a Senior Psychologist to join a well-established Children's Disability Network Team in West Limerick. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a progressive, interdisciplinary service supporting children and young people with complex needs arising from disability.
The successful candidate will deliver psychological assessment and intervention services as part of a collaborative, family-centred team. This is a permanent, full-time position (70 hours per fortnight) within a dynamic public health setting, working closely with families, schools, primary care services, CAMHS, and other relevant agencies.

Duties
Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex disabilities
Develop and implement individualised intervention plans in line with best practice and PSI guidelines
Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team to support holistic care planning
Provide professional reports, case documentation, and maintain records in line with F.O.I. and service standards
Offer consultation, guidance, and psychoeducation to families and team members
Supervise basic grade psychologists, assistant psychologists, and psychology trainees as required
Participate in service development, evaluation, and approved research initiatives
Liaise with external agencies including schools, primary care, CAMHS, and relevant community services
Requirements
A recognised honours degree in Psychology
A post-graduate professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland
Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience as a professional psychologist (in line with senior grade criteria)
Experience working with children and young people with complex needs arising from disability
Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary team working
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Full clean driver's licence and access to own car
Eligibility to work in Ireland
Validation of qualifications from the Department of Health (if qualified outside Ireland)
