Job Title: Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to adults with complex neuropsychiatric conditions.
About the Role:
This is a permanent, full-time position (37 hours per week) that requires a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills. As a Senior Psychologist, you will work closely with our clinical director to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, early-onset dementia, schizophrenia, and mood disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide expert psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult mental health clients.
* To lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
* To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and outcomes.
* To contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures.
* To supervise and support junior psychologists and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
* A QQI Level 8 degree in Psychology (PSI-accredited).
* A postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (Dept. of Health validated).
* A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in adult mental health.
* At least 60 days supervised clinical experience in adult mental health.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience working in adult mental health or psychiatry of later life.
* Familiarity with mental health rehabilitation techniques.
* Training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other modalities.
* Clinical supervision experience.
* Hospital-based experience and people management skills.
