Summary
Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the department in alignment with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards, while ensuring the satisfaction of employees, guests, and owners.
As Team Leader – Front Office, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth and effective functioning of the Front Office Department within the Rooms Division.
Responsibilities
Ensure all Front Office departments consistently adhere to company standards.
Review daily team checklists and verify proper execution.
Audit cashier closures and daily journals for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and manage weekly departmental schedules.
Review upcoming arrivals and follow up on guest requests and room assignments.
Organize, participate in, and ensure the effective execution of daily briefings.
Monitor open We Cares cases and ensure timely, appropriate follow-up.
Audit guest accounts to confirm all charges are accurate and complete.
Review future group instructions and ensure all Front Office teams address specific requests.
Analyze operational reports related to Front Office routines (e.g., Traces, Arrivals, Upselling, Credit Limits).
Monitor open folios and ensure proper follow-up and resolution.
Cover the Night Manager shift during scheduled days off, following the Night Manager checklist.
Promote teamwork and foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment.
Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and other departments.
Report any suspicious or unusual activity to the appropriate department manager.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members and guests.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
2–3 years of experience in Front Office operations, preferably within a luxury or upscale hotel environment
Proficient in Property Management Systems (PMS), such as Opera or similar platforms
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate teams and handle guest interactions with professionalism and empathy
Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
